BURBANK HIGH SCHOOL - March 10, 2004

By Charli Harshbarger

I have never been attacked at a game before. Ok, so I wasn’t fully attacked but I have had more balls thrown at my head and players rolled into my feet more times then I’d like to count. Tonight’s game was definitely a night of rough and tumble. Players were getting thrown on all ends of the court. The Knights were struggling to pull ahead. By half time, it was anyone’s game. It was edge of your seat, lip biting excitement. Tonight’s game has probably been the biggest game of the year so far. We welcomed back veteran players Thad Luckinbill (Young and the Restless, Just Married), Jesse Metcalfe (Passions) and Eric Winter (Days of our Lives). Cylk Cozart was on fire, scoring many two pointers through out the night. I have never seen so many foul shots the entire night. The Burbank faculty wasn’t going down with out a fight. With only 47 seconds remaining in the game, there were three fouls and the points rallied back and forth between teams with the Knights pulling ahead in the last second with a final score of 67-66 leaving the Knights undefeated this season.

The Knights welcomed newcomers Heidi Mueller (Who Wants To Marry My Dad, Passions), recording artist KB who sang a beautiful rendition of the Star Spangled banner and rocked halftime with his rendition of Michael Jackson’s “Rock With You”. We can’t of course forget our resident Knights: Cylk Cozart (White Men Can’t Jump), Wesley Jonathan (What I Like About You), Greg Siff (From Justin To Kelly, Dirt, Aberbrombie & Fitch), Bobby Edner (Spy Kids 3D), Anthony Montgomery (Enterprise), Arlen Escarpeta (American Dreams), Keith Robinson (American Dreams), Kyle Brandt (Days of our Lives, Real World), Tyler Hoechlin (7th Heaven), and of course Khleo Thomas (Holes). Some unexpected showing guests were Kirsten Storms (Days of our Lives, Zenon), Alexis Thorpe (Days of our Lives, American Wedding), Lauren Mayhew (American Dreams), and Brittany Snow from American.

During the second half, Khleo kept the audience cheering by dancing in the court while players were shooting for foul shots. Brutha rocked the crowd even harder during half time with their soulful voice and killer dance routines. It was a game to remember. Although there were rough and tumble times, it’s never a dull moment at a Hollywood Knights game.
