Greetings
from Van Nuys High School. After a close game
against Cal State Northridge, the Knights came
back defeating the Van Nuys faculty with a final
score of 50-54 in favor of the Knights.
Playing for the knights were Dejai and Romeo (Tha
Goodfellas Power 106), Nana Gbewonyo (Coach
Carter), Kiko Ellsworth, Cylk Cozart, Anthony
Montgomery (Enterprise), DJ E-man (Power 106),
Josh Henderson (Out There), Arlen Escarpeta
(American Dreams) and Wesley Jonathan (What I
Like About You). Supporting the Knights in the
stands were Alisa Reyes, Jamie Elman (American
Dreams), Vanessa Lengies (American Dreams), and
Christine (General Hospital).
Myra blew away the audience with the Star
Spangled Banner and Remix rocked the house during
halftime, dancing with audience members. During a
3rd/4th quarter time out, the Van Nuys dance team
revved the audience up with their dance routine.
The crowd was certainly one of the wildest I've
ever seen over the players and the giveaways.
Nana gave a beautiful dunk in the 3rd and when
the faculty tried to bring down Josh, he recouped
with several flips, thrilling the crowd.
The Knights surprised Arlen with a special
birthday song sung by Myra after the 3rd quarter. |
